TIRANA, Oct. 9 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha attended the inauguration of the Albanian Post Office Center for Universal Postal Services, built with a 370,000 dollar investment.
The center means the capacity of postal services gets expanded three-fold through increasing the number of service windows for Albanian consumers, reaching better standards of postal services the country has ever had before.
The prime minister described the consumer focus of the post office as another important step toward giving this country the new European face it deserves.
The prime minister said the government was determined to take every decision, to make every investment and approve every law so that the Albanians enjoy standards compared to the citizens of the EU member countries.
The Center of Universal Services at the Albanian Post Office actually offers 50 kinds of services among a total of 77 services that the Albanian Post provides. This is a center of promotion of Closed Circuit Television, a network extended throughout Albania into 551 affiliated postal offices by means of about 1000 monitors.
