TIRANA, March.10- The Black Box stage of the Academy of Arts has hosted a special narrative performance on the novel by Oriana Fallaci, “Letter to a child never born”. Fallaci wrote the book to communicate with her baby as she learnt on the pregnancy. The performance named “Journey towards the woman” was directed by Alfred Trebicka, with choreography of Kozeta Bakiu and stage design by Bertrand Shijaku. The three actors were Eriona Kakeli, Violeta Banushi and Anisa Dervishi. The narrative celebrates the strength of women, simple and strong like fallacy.
Trebicka confesses that the idea for the narrative comes form the deep surgical analysis of the soul that fallacy so skillfully performs. He has divided the monodrama into three different voices for the ideas are universal and the actors bring the voices of Florence form their living places in Tirana, Prishtina, New York. Although the author had a personal motive for her work she could nto give brith to the child she lost in the sixth month, a child she had form the love of ger life the ehro of the Greek resistance, Aleksandros Panagulis- her aim was to convey a tragic optimism throughout the words.
Trebicka says he was tempted to include a male personage but then let go of the idea since it is already present in the drama Trebicka plans to put on stage another work by Fallaci, “One man” dedicated to Panagulisi. Oriana Fallaci died in September of 2006. During her journalistic career she interviewed some of the world’s most famous figures such as Dalai Lama, Henry Kissinger, Omar Khadafi, Indira Gandhi, etc.
